Nasturtium 'Peach Melba' seeds can be sown indoors from February to April for an earlier display, or outdoors after the risk of frost has passed. These compact plants thrive in well-drained soil with full sun exposure, making them ideal for window boxes and containers.
Sow seeds directly outdoors from April to May in a weed-free spot, planting them 2–3 cm deep and watering gently to encourage germination within 7 to 14 days.
Thin seedlings to allow a spread of around 35 cm, or grow in 20 cm pots to accommodate their 25 cm height, ensuring good air circulation and healthy growth for this dwarf nasturtium variety.
Water regularly during dry spells, especially in containers. Deadhead occasionally to keep plants tidy, though leaving some flowers encourages self-seeding. Avoid rich fertilisers for best flowering.

Nasturtium ‘Peach Melba’ (Tropaeolum majus) is an easy-going annual that thrives with minimal care. Its trailing habit makes it ideal for containers, raised beds, and spilling over edges, while its nectar-rich flowers are loved by bees. Both flowers and leaves are edible, adding a peppery kick to salads, making it as practical as it is beautiful.

Nasturtiums (Tropaeolum majus) are native to South America and were brought to Europe in the late 16th century by the Spanish botanist Nicolas Monardes. First grown in Spain, they quickly spread to France and England, where they became known as Indian Cress for their peppery, cress-like leaves and flowers.
